Good morning, happy people!

Pack your hiking boots and camelbak, readers, because today we are headed to the Crouching Lion Hike, in Honolulu, Hawaii! When Carrie and Victor contacted me, I knew that it was going to be an extraordinarily special day. This gorgeous, incredibly in-love couple planned their sweet and intimate elopement among the most gorgeous background!

We met at the bottom of the hike about 45 min before the sunrise, and hiked in the dark to capture some bride and groom portraits on top of one of the prettiest mountains on the island. I have to say that they were such troopers, and even though it was super muddy, we got up there in less than 30 min! So impressed!!

After spending about 1.5 hours on the mountains, we went to Ka’awa Beach, where they tied the knot under swaying palm trees in the most genuine ceremony. Can you believe that they went straight from the beach to their honeymoon?

Now THAT is how you do an elopement, folks.

I find that one of the best things about elopements is that they lend themselves to especially tender moments. They also somehow feel a little more at ease, and that’s exactly what the vibe was on this beautiful day.
