Whoa!! The sky really did put on a show for us this morning!!
Here is a gorgeous morning spent with the K family at Lanikai Beach, Oahu, Hawaii. They come to Lanikai pretty often, actually, Jason spent a great deal of time at his aunt’s Lanikai home growing up. Since the home was sold very recently, they decided to do a family session at Lanikai Beach to preserve some lasting memories of one of their most beloved places.
We chose sunrise because Lanikai is especially suited for the lighting during that time of day and looks spectacular, as you can see in the photos. I was also able to include a photo of their aunt’s house and backyard in the background to make the memory even more special for them.
They were a joy to photograph and the kids loved the water! They all ended up soaking wet, but it was totally worth it!
Can you believe those sunrise colors?? I swear they’re 100% real and it was, by far, the prettiest sunrise I’ve seen there. Fall/winter sunrises at Lanikai Beach are a must-see!
