Perfect Timing for Your Engagement Session |Fernanda Kenfield Photography

You are engaged!! You are getting ready to say the big “I do” and plan your wedding. Pinterest boards and wedding magazines are multiplying, the To-Do list keeps increasing and you need to go down the list of vendors and suppliers for your big day! I strongly suggest you book your engagement shoot as early as possible. Here are some reasons why:

Getting engaged is very exciting! This excitement and bliss will shine through the images. You will soon be busy with so many tasks and to-do lists for the wedding that getting the engagement photos done before that will be a huge relief. Trust me when I say that!

If you are going to use any of the photos for “Save the Date” cards, invitations, etc remember that they need time for editing, printing, and getting them mailed out to everyone – even the far corners of the earth.

While I do have some availability out of normal hours, you probably need to think about having an afternoon off. In fact, you might want to treat yourselves to a special day out with your session being part of your fun day.

If you are having a location engagement shoot, remember we might need to re-schedule because of weather. It doesn’t happen often, but you don’t want to be running out of time because of a rainy day.

If you are using your engagement photos for a slideshow at the reception, then remember to choose them well in advance. Some people find choosing the right images can be quite time-consuming.

After your engagement shoot, I hope you would like to book me for your wedding (and I would love it if you did – there’s nothing better than shooting for a couple I know). For wedding dates you really do need to book well in advance, all the obvious dates get booked out really early, often 1 or 2 years ahead.
