Good morning beautiful friends!!

Today I am sharing one of my favorites sessions with incredible people! Meet the Ellison family!!

They came all the way from Texas to Oahu with lots of reasons to celebrate. Jennifer had just turned 40 and it was hers and Tristan’s 8th anniversary, so they decided to take a trip to Hawaii to spend some time together and celebrate their love. What an amazing reason to capture a STUNNING photo session!

They chose Kualoa Regional Park, in Kaneohe, Hawaii for being a very unique and secluded place. The calm and serene beach along with the lush palm trees made the perfect background for their family session! Jennifer wanted to also capture some breastfeeding images to remember this stage of her life forever. Sooo sweet! Love it!

If you’ve kept up with this blog for even a short while, I’m sure you can tell how much I love taking and sharing photos — especially those that capture family love, such as when breastfeeding. I’m often asked for tips and advice on how to have a successful breastfeeding photoshoot. To be honest, I think every breastfeeding photoshoot is the epitome of perfection and a success, even if the nursling got distracted or wanted to jam tiny fingers up his mother’s nose. That’s just breastfeeding! Try to remember: the idea isn’t to compare your photos to the outcome of others’. YOU get to decide what “successful” means in this instance — how refreshing!
