Hanalei Bay is easily one of the most breathtaking places on Kauaʻi for family photos. With its golden stretch of sand, dramatic mountain backdrop, and unforgettable sunsets, it truly feels like paradise—an ideal setting for capturing memories that last a lifetime.

So when Mindy reached out and asked if I could fly to Kauaʻi to photograph her beautiful extended family, my answer was an immediate YES! I absolutely love Kauaʻi, and Hanalei Bay holds such a special place in my heart.

This session was everything I love about family photography—full of laughter, play, and those sweet in-between moments that tell a family’s story. Little Kaiya ran carefree along the shoreline, while mom and dad shared quiet embraces by the water. It’s these authentic, unposed interactions that make each session so meaningful.
