Hello, loyal blog readers!
I recently had awesome experience photographing a Korean 1st birthday party, held at the Kahala Hotel, in Honolulu, Hawaii. It was a small event with roughly 6 attendants, including the birthday girl’s parents, plus grandparents, and uncle, that flew all the way from Korea.
The celebration was a lot of fun, especially being able to learn some interesting, Korean 1st birthday traditions (Doljabi), such as having the child choose between various objects to signify her future profession/lifestyle and then eating noodles to signify long life (instead of a cake smash). How awesome is that?
We then headed outside for some family portraits and the light couldn’t have been better.
I was glad to have been there for all the excitement and happy to share some of that excitement with you here. Hope you enjoy the pictures!
