Lanikai Beach, in Kailua, Hawaii is one of my all-time favorites for a family photo session!

This location was a great choice by the S family. Lanikai Beach is one of the most beautiful and popular beaches in Hawaii, with the famous view of the Mokes in the background. So that being said, it gets pretty packed on the weekends. We decided to do the shoot on a week night to avoid the bigger crowds, even though it was still fairly busy.

Samantha wanted to capture precious moments with her little boy and he was such a natural in front of the camera and loved all the attention that he was getting. Isn’t he the cutest? It was hard to keep him out of the water, so we started with the posed images, then let him run free! Oh boy, he was happy!
Their outfits were on point and Samantha’s dress from Free People is one of my favorite styles. It was perfect for that beautiful evening at Lanikai Beach.

The sun doesn’t set at Lanikai Beach, but we captured such a beautiful light and ended up with beautiful images for this gorgeous family.
